Raees : Koi “Dhanda” chota nahi hota…

I truly believe in this dialogue…

At present, Raees is on a roll, because of Shahrukh (obviously) , his acting, his robinhood role, and most importantly his stylish daring dialogues.

Every social media is full of his photos with witty dialogues, and few days back I was going through one article, when the above picture come in front of me, and suddenly so many “dhanda” or jobs come into my mind, which we consider so small and insignificant, that we even consider them inferior and also the people doing those jobs.

But we do not realize that how important they are for us and for our community, that if they would not have been there, then there would be a big chaos, and I will give you examples of that.

Few jobs with which I do come regularly in contact and I consider them important, they are :

Sister taking care of Old woman. Image : kolkatanursing.com

1) Nursing Sister/Brother :
One of the most unthankful job, I have ever seen in my medical career till now is this. They (sisters and also brothers) are always a sandwich between the Doctor’s and patient or patient’s relatives bad behavior. I have even written about them before also, because I always feel bad when my seniors and I must admit that sometimes myself also become angry on them without any reason, but still they take it all without saying anything. And you know, why they are important, because they take care of patient in every possible way, they feed them, clean them, giving them drugs regularly, and sometimes they have to clean their vomit and even have to assist in their defecation and urination, and still they smile and do this gracious job with all their heart. A BIG THANK YOU to all them. Grateful.

Housekeeping staff. Protector of our surroundings..

    2) Housekeeping Staff :

In Indian Society, this is one of the job, which is always considered inferior and also the people attached to them are considered as lower caste, but after working in a corporate hospital, I realised their true importance, how their work even affects the outcome of a patient in view of spreading of infection. Just compare yourself to work in a clean surroundings versus in a unhygienic surroundings, it will definitely affect our productivity also.

Kolkata Traffic Police : A very hectic job..

    3) Traffic Police :

I honestly admit that being from the tier-2 city of India, we never see the traffic police as important as state police, but when I came to Kolkata (metro city in India) I realized the power and importance of traffic police. How they are responsible for smooth run of vehicles. If we think on a broader perspective, they are not only responsible for maintaining traffic and prevent congestion, but they are also responsible for saving the life of a traumatized patient because they reach a hospital on time, they are responsible for our timely arrival on airports and railway stations and also save us from our girlfriend’s taunts because we manage to reach on time for our romantic date. Few weeks back, after looking at the efficiency of maintaining traffic in Kolkata’s streets, I said “Thank You” to one of the traffic police officer, who was supervising tarffic at Victoria Memorial.

Customer care excutive : always there for you with smile…

    4) Customer Care executives :
Just tell me how would you feel if there is someone in the outer world who is always ready to help you 24 x 7 x 365, that too with a smile. Yes, they are customer care executives, who always help us when we approach them with our problems. So I request you, next time when you are requested to wait for some time, then please don’t show your anger on executives, because they are there to help you, not for venting out your anger.

Here are some of the jobs which I like, and always ready to say Thanks to the persons, who are doing them.

So don’t judge the person by their job, instead judge the person by the value they are giving to the society…

Have you also experianced the same feeling to perticular jobs in your surroundings, if yes then please share with me.

The festival of celebration of bond or the emotions between brother and sister is Rakhi or Raksha Bandhan.

Celebrated on a very large scale in India, so many stories of this festival can be found in the historical or cultural textbooks of India.

The chemistry of a brother and sister relationship is very unique, sometimes it is lovable, sometimes it is horrible, sometimes caring, sometimes they could take each other’s life (hehe, can throw pile of books on each other), sometimes can fight with others for the sake of each other…. ufff… so many things, so many emotions but one relation…

I am the luckiest guy in the world who is fortunate enough to have so many sisters at home. In my home there is “always more sisters than brothers” culture, be it with my father’s generation or my generation, and that’s the main reason that I have grown up with the feeling of respect towards girl child.

I do have so many incidents with my sisters which I want to share with you..

          • I and my elder sister always have little fights with each other, we even pull each other hairs, and yell “mummyyyyyyyyy”
          • Whenever I had a fight with my elder sister, than mum always takes my side and father always takes didi’s (sister) side.
          • My sisters always takes care of my shopping and still I take their guidance in nitty gritty of things.
          • Once in my school days when I was in 4th or 5th class, on of the my senior had a crush on me (may be I am exaggerating a little 😜 ), but when I told my sister about it (how innocent I was 😁), she just went there and thrashed her and said “He is my brother, agar usko phir se dekha to aakhen nikal lungi” (he is my brother, if you see him again, I will take your eyes) but I still regret this why I had told her as the girl was beautiful 😜.
          • Once I had a huge fight with one of my sister, and I complained this to my father, what father told me was a lesson of a lifetime to me. He told : “Anshul, you are lucky that you have these moments, cherish it, ask to those persons, who do not have sisters”. Rightly said Papa.

Well this is it, want to finish this blog, as my wife already screaming on me, so that she can tie the beautiful “Rakhi” on my hand, which is send by my beautiful sisters.

My whole extended family celebrating Rakhi together.

What a Man can do for Love…

In our daily life we see numerous common things, which looks normal as they really looks normal, that is why we just take them for granted and do not pay much attention.

Today I will try to focus on those so called normal things, but in essence, they are special, unique in their own way. Here I go…

What a Man can do for love..

Here a “Man” reflects both Male and Female or a Human Being.

What a Man can do for love, to disfigure her bodily figure for months, yet can do her household and professional work even after a severe back ache..

What a Man can do for love, to produce a baby even after feeling the intense pain but still can smile with the first glimpse of her baby..

What a Man can do for love, to take care of her pregnant wife, to support her all night with her pains, to clean her mouth after vomiting, and to press her head so that her headache decreases and she can sleep and yet barely having 2-3 hours of sleep he is ready to go for his work..

What a Man can do for love, to support his child to get a world class education, study in top most school, college, even if he is not that financially sound but can arrange money from any where at any time..

What a Man can do for love, after coming home from work, he can become a plumber, electrician or a washroom cleaner or even a coolie but he will not disturb his child who is studying..

What a Man can do for love, can awake early in morning before the whole family, prepares her husband and child’s lunch, ready their clothes, drink her tea which gets cold and then finally have her breakfast after 2-3 hours of work..

What a Man can do for love, he can wait for her for hours, but can not wait for a minute in a KFC line.. can enjoy Italian pasta with her however he always eat Roti Sabji (chapati and vegetables) in his home.. have started watching Hollywood movies and Game of Thrones with her however he has never watched anything more than just Roadies..

What a Man can do for love, she is now able to make whole meal for him, and few months back she was not even have to make tea for herself..

What a Man can do for love, she travels all over from the different city only to tie the thread on her brother’s hand.. and can come from the fifth floor to the ground floor in a minute if his elder brother calls her..

Uff… these lines really makes me emotional, how we sometimes take all these special things for granted which looks normal, but we only recognize their importance once we do not have these..

So, what is your take on these special things.. ??? do share with me.. I can handle more emotions.. 🙂
