How Mentality driven our Life and Society ?

Taapsee Pannu Pink
Taapsee Pannu in a court scene in Pink

This is how a powerful female looks like when her acts are misinterpreted…

This thought just emerged into my mind as I am watching the movie PINK in an Inox theatre in the city of joy, Kolkata, from where the director of this film Shoojit Sircar belongs.

At present writing this small piece in the interval time of this movie, and sharing with you some of the questions which come into my mind..

Q1. When girls become extrovert than why they are considered to be without morals ? They think to express yourself just like boys is crime.

Q2. When they come late in the night, then why we think that they have affairs or are characterless ? They suppose girls do not want to enjoy at nights.

Q3. Why we think like this : “kyuki tum log ladkiyan ho, to kyu ulagh rahi ho ladko se, door raho” (because you are girls, why you are involving with boys, stay away) Why gender comes in between everything.

Q4. Why most of us thinking that the girls talking to boys with a sweet smile, or have a casual or informal conversation, are interested in them in ‘that way’ and not the normal way ? Can’t boys and girls just be friends ?

Q5. Although I am not a drinker, but I have mostly seen that why most of the people think that the “sanskari/cultured” girls do not drink and only the bad girls do ? Drinking alcohol is not the criteria of moralness.

These are some of the questions which come in my mind while watching movie PINK.

What your’s take on this, give me your answers of the above questions.

I want to spread the good words and want to end all assumptions because I really hate them, and want that other’s should not be harmed because of that.

Well stay tuned for the next blog which will be the complete review of this movie, as this movie shows the serious sensible way of expressing important issue.

Don’t Blame Alcohol, Blame Yourself..

Have you ever imagine that why most of the people blurted out their feelings once they are under the influence of alcohol, scientifically because the inhibition is lost but mainly because there is too much hiding of feelings, ambitions, compromises etc etc in today’s world…

Recently I met one of my senior from my hospital in some get together party. Normally at work she looks calm, compose, quite, totally focussed on her work, not communicate too much.

But at that party after she had a drink (little bit more than average), she lost all inhibition, dancing in a freestyle mode, smiling cheerfully, gossiping, approaching to others by herself, then I start thinking why there is contrasting of a character, is it because of alcohol or something else.

I start recollecting my previous experiences with my friends in the parties. I have observed the same pattern in their behaviour also, after drinking they had too much feelings to share with me (which are mostly personal) which they never shared with me before that.

We do have too many feelings, ambitions, wants which we suppressed may be because we do not have the resources to fulfill them but majority of them because of the social stigma or the social pressure (what people will say if I do this, what they will thought about my new profession, what they will say if I seen with this lady on that occasion).

Read somewhere on Twitter..

Every people have three lifes..

Professional or Social life, Personal life and a ‘Secret’ life…

And this suppression of one’s “original” inner behaviour leads to changes in so many things, like attitude, character, conversations with others, approach to tackle situations and on and on and on….. and these changes decides our success, relations and healthy well being.

Feelings are there to express, express it…. Ambitions are their to achieve, achieve it…. If you want to have something, or want to meet someone, want to go out for dinner with someone, just do it… Do not over think, if you are right by heart than no one can blame you for anything.

Just go.. express your self.. feel the energy.. feel the freedom.. just enjoy…

Why Every Person for Me is Important and a Leader !!!

Why majority of the world do not appreciate the leaders… for me the definition of leader is : “a person who is master in his field, in his craft and performs his work or a job like picasso, involve in his work like there is no tomorrow, crave for perfection, either his job like that of toilet janitor or the job of a doctor but he performs like a rockstar in his field, for me these type of personalities are leaders…”

But my experiance in a professional environment as a doctor is that world values for the one who generates more revenues for the employer and all other persons are just the simple employees having no value (unofficially) as the management listens only to whom who have the power of making money for the company or the hospital.

But the point is every institution becomes successful by the contribution of all the team, some persons in the team contributes more, some less but everyone’s effort is important, as Surgeons can not operate without the help of Anaesthetist and Sisters, while Anaesthetist can not work swiftly without the help of OT technicians and I think same applies in corporate offices as professionals can not work efficiently without the help of coffee venders and toilet janitors (as no one likes dirty toilets).

That is why personally I always address sisters in my hospital as “Sister ji” ( ‘ji’ in Indian scenario is a sign of respect to other person ) and always say thank you to “house cleaning staff” in hospital because for me they are leaders in their own field and they are essential part of the system.
